Cream Cheese Frosting {RECIPE}

This is such an easy recipe for cream cheese frosting. I made this back when there were only a handful of recipes I could make that tasted good [the rest were out of a box]. It’s ironic, I’m not a fan of cream cheese, but I could eat this all day. My personal favorites to go with cream cheese frosting are: zucchini bread, banana bread, and chocolate cake, but you can add it to whatever you would like.

  1. 1/2 cup [1 stick] butter (softened)
  2. 8 oz [1 package] cream cheese
  3. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  4. 4 cups powdered sugar (or more if needed)
  1. Beat butter in large mixing bowl until smooth.
  2. Add cream cheese and mix until combined.
  3. Blend vanilla extract into mixture.
  4. Slowly add powdered sugar on low until desired sweetness is reached.
  5. Increase to medium speed and beat until fluffy.
  1. This recipe will frost 2 loaves or a 2 layer 8-9" cake
